Case Studies

"Our organization is too widespread to create an effective span of control. What do I do to ensure the branch offices don't screw up?"

Case
We have worked with numerous organizations that are headquartered in one location, but have multiple branch offices to which they have decided to delegate more administrative responsibility and independence. One of the challenges in these circumstances is to ensure that the branch offices operate as effectively as possible but maintain operational and financial control.

Solution
Johnson & Lawrence worked with each organization to identify and document their best operational and financial practices and to define their communication requirements in a decentralized environment. We then helped to implement their decentralization by creating communication tools such as policy and procedure manuals, forms, and management reports and by designing and executing both classroom and computer-based training materials and programs.
